Under the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs, the Office for Medicinal Cannabis Research (OMC) has the exclusive right of importing and exporting cannabis, cannabis extracts and cannabis resin. The Convention provides for this monopoly so as to prevent the diversion of cannabis into the illicit traffic.
Selling via the OMC
If a company holds an opium exemption and wishes to sell cannabis products via the OMC, the company must complete the application form for the supply of cannabis. Once you have filled in all the information, please send the form by email to info@cannabisbureau.nl
Transporting for personal use
There are separate rules for transporting cannabis for personal medical use outside the country. If you use cannabis for medicinal purposes and wish to travel abroad you will need a Schengen declaration or a doctor’s certificate.
